11 January 2010

Recently I bought a ThinkPad SL510 in the US but then had an accident and was hospitalized until flying back to Colombia. In the meantime, friends offered to download my favorite programs, etc. and do the original factory configuration recovery with the disks provided at purchase. They didn't carefully read the instructions and thereby installed Windows 7 instead of keeping Windows XP, which is what I distinctly want. I found this out when I cranked up the laptop Colombia

So, is there anyone out there that knows if there is any alternative to outright purchase of the overpriced MS Windows XP operating system?
